In 2010 Blue Flags were awarded to Sheringham, Cromer, Sea Palling and Hunstanton, an award given to beaches that meet the requirements of excellent water cleanliness, water quality, environmental education and safety.

Heacham situated on Norfolks coastline, is a traditional village with lots of history. With two beaches known as North and South beach, they are a magnet for fans of active holidays, kites, jet skis, kitesurfing, windsurfing and other outdoor activities can be found here. Photographers are also attracted here as it is known for its fantastic sunsets. Heacham is close to Hunstanton and other local attractions, with so much going on it is the ideal location for a family beach holiday in Norfolk.

Hunstanton has sandy beaches and plenty of rock pools to be explored; the cliffs alone are an attraction to many with their layers of red chalk, white chalk and brown sandstone, the cliffs face west so spectacular sunsets can be captured in the evenings. There is a wide range of activities at Hunstanton for all age groups, on the central promenade you can find the funfair and the Sea Life Sanctuary, there is all the stalls and shops you would expect to find at an award winning beach, there are donkey rides and a band often plays on the bandstand overlooking the beach in the summer time. For those looking for more adventurous activities at Hunstanton, there are a range of watersports available including sailing, kitesurfing, powerkiting, landboarding, windsurfing or stand up paddle boarding.
