Pensthorpe Nature reserve

For a family day out in Norfolk, Pensthorpe Nature Reserve situated near Fakenham, offers a selection of activities, which get you close to nature and learning about wildlife and conservation. The summer months are filled with activities for children, but there is a selection of stunning gardens, cafe and gift shop too.

Snettisham Park

Snettisham Park Farm is great for a family day out in West Norfolk, take the safari ride through the deer park to learn more about the animals, the farm is still working so there are always activities for visitors to get involved with, such as feeding the lamb, goats and other animals.

Seal Island

At Norfolk's most popular beach, Hunstanton, you can catch a boat trip to visit the seals in the Wash. Seal Island is the biggest single colony of common seals in Europe. These tours run between April and September and last for about two hours, so can be fit around a family day out exploring the other attractions Hunstanton has on offer.

Fishing

West Norfolk has plenty of areas of interest for novice or experienced anglers. There are sea fishing trips, where you can take a boat out under guidance to visit the finest tope fishing areas of The North Sea.
